We want you to have a positive experience at Fresh Roots Family Counseling. The following information lets you know what you can expect from us and will help you get the most out of the counseling services we provide.
Taking the First Step
Taking the first step toward improving your mental health is a brave and meaningful choice, and we want you to know how proud we are of your decision to begin this journey. At Fresh Roots Family Counseling, we strive to provide a welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe to explore and grow. It’s natural to feel a little nervous before your first appointment, but we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Arriving for Your Appointment
To make the most of your visit, we recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early for your appointment. This extra time allows you to settle in, complete any necessary paperwork, and begin to feel comfortable in our space. A calm and punctual start helps set the tone for a smoother, more relaxed session, allowing you to focus fully on your time with your therapist.
Insurance
AETNA, Ambetter, Blue Cross, and QualChoice are accepted by most of our therapists. Please call to determine which counselors are in network with your insurance provider.
Please check your coverage carefully by calling your insurance provider and asking the following questions:
- Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
- How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
- Is precertification or preauthorization required?
Cancellation Policy
We require a 24-hour notice to cancel a scheduled appointment, otherwise, the full amount of the visit will be charged. If insured, this amount will be the full cost of the visit normally billed to insurance.
