About Gary

We live in a difficult and complex world. No one is spared from personal trials, challenges, heartache, pain, suffering, and disappointment. My goal as a therapist is to listen, help you determine the reality of your circumstances, and work toward a preferred future with meaning and purpose in your life-sometimes through encouragement, other times through hard questions and gentle confrontation. My approach to therapy is client-centered through the lenses of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and am currently a Licensed Associate Counselor.

My path to the counseling profession is a nontraditional one. After receiving my BSBA from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and beginning my career at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., I enjoyed a 35-year business career in commercial real estate, executive management in business ownership, private equity business investments, and mergers and acquisitions. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of assisting others in working through various challenges in areas of their personal lives. Four years ago, I decided to retire from my business career and transition to full-time professional counseling. I have recently relocated to Northwest Arkansas and am dedicating this next chapter of my life to counseling adult men in stage of life transitions, marriage and family relationships, and career/workplace issues.

I have been married since 1991 and have four adult kids and one grandchild. In my free time, I enjoy golf, hiking, biking, snow skiing, SCUBA diving, travel, spectator sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
