About Shelly
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have lived and worked in NWA since moving here in 1990 to attend the U of A. I have a BA in Human Development and Family Studies, a BS in International Relations, both from the U of A, as well as a Master of Social Work from LSU. I believe that creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences fosters trust and faith in the therapeutic process. My approach is client and family centered focusing on evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I have worked with diverse populations across a range of mental health concerns. My therapeutic interests are mindfulness, parenting and family issues, and clinical areas of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and life transitions.
