About Nate

Life presents challenges that can leave us hurting, stuck, or searching for hope. My goal as a therapist is to walk with clients on their healing journey, especially when addictive, compulsive, or self-medicating patterns have created pain and disconnection. I draw from both professional training and my own recovery journey, offering a compassionate and collaborative space for growth.

I approach counseling through a client-centered, strengths-based lens, grounded in attachment theory, systems theory, and narrative therapy, while integrating elements of cognitive behavioral therapy. I hold a degree in Mental Health Counseling from John Brown University and am a Licensed Associate Counselor.

Before entering the counseling field, I spent more than 15 years in the business world working with global companies on partnerships with retailers. In 2021, I began transitioning into counseling to carry forward my passion for walking with others through healing and growth. My work focuses on recovery from addictions and compulsions, navigating blocks to intimacy, and fostering resilient relationships.

I am married with three children and enjoy basketball, mountain biking, reading, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and spending time with family and friends.
