After almost 20 years as a stay at home mom and educator, I returned to graduate school to get my degree in Clinical Mental Health and Marriage and Family Therapy.
I am grateful for the opportunity to come alongside those who find themselves in a hard place.
I want you to feel heard and understood.
I long to create an environment that says you are ok and there is no judgment here.
We are all on a pilgrimage. You will have a different path and a different pace, but I will encourage you to press in and to journey on.
“Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into the places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion, and anguish. Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable, and powerless with the powerless. Compassion means full immersion in the condition of being human.”
― Henri J.M. Nouwen
“We make space for others to tell their stories when we learn to tell our own.”
